Not exactly WW2, but it's related to F&O's Hurtgen Forest last weekend.....

Kavster - that damn Crown Royal and 12 year old Glenfiddich single malt turned up this morning

Bah!! Keep some for the next game for me, mate!

it came with a banana mag, but the box says it's an M1 and I dont think it fires on full auto... :?

M1s were issued with Banana mags towards the end of the war, maybe Marusin have re-marketed their Single action M1 to fire on semi.

The way to tell whether its an M2 or M1, is the fire selecter toggle at the front left of the Bolt.

Do you mean if it has one at all, or are there features to tell them apart.

Private sale on Z1 forum. PM me your email addy and I'll see about taking some close up pics tonight.

Incidentally, the breech/bolt assembly is entirely different to yours, and the bolt comes all the way back and even locks to the rear. Looks like a new design completely.

I'm sure I read somewhere that the new M1 is just a M2 with the fire select lever removed, which is why it comes with the same mag as the M2.

That would explain it. Right enough it does have the M2 sight - regarding that, anyone know how to remove it, I read somewhere when you take it off it's just an M1 rear sight underneath.

I'm actually surprised you don't have one yet, Pete. On the list, is it?

Wardrobe... *wardrobe*?

That implies the singular.. i have *three* full of kit and a room with it all on shelves and hooks....

Of course you coudl mean wardrobe in the theatre sense in which case i'll let you off.

I had magic wardrobe once mind you, mine didnt go to narnia it went to Stroud which was altogether quite unimpressive.

I've got one of the non-blowback M1's and a M2 so the only additional one I could do with is a M1A1 folding stock version, so watch this space

Just 5 days too late for Bastogne I've received my lovely, handmade in Italy, 'Luigi Crescenzi & LeicaTime' camera strap. So now I'll have my hands free when lugging around the Leica camera ;)

Of course, mine's in fashionable black
